General, Field Guide
There just aren't any sfield guides specific to the Caucasus, let alone Armenia. What there is comes in European guides and books that might cover the USSR and the Caucacasus. What is needed is a bonafide fieldguide to wildflowers in Armenia. The work has been done, the material written, all that is needed is some publishing support.

You can also try Near East or Turkey in your search, since eh terrain is the same, and species are not necessarily politically divided.

Note: these will not help you identify any specieis endemic to Armenia, but they can help with common or shared terrain species.

Buttler, Karl Peter and Paul Davies. Field Guide to Orchids of Britain and Europe: The Species and Subspecies Growing Wild in Europe, the Near East and North Africa. Rev. English ed. Swindon: Crowood, 1991. 288p. ISBN 1852235918pa.

Huxley, Anthony Julian. Mountain Flowers in Colour. Rev. ed. London: Blandford, 1973. 428p. (Blandford Colour Series). ISBN 0713706503. 1,200 species illustrated, another 400 mentioned; color and black and white illustrations. Illustrated by Daphne Barry and Mary Grierson.

McClintock, David and Richard Fitter. The Pocket Guide to Wild Flowers. London: Collins, 1972. 340p. [no ISBN] 1,300 species; keys; color illustrations and line drawings. Also published in French as Guide des Plantes et Fleurs.

Moggi, Guido. The Macdonald Encyclopedia of Alpine Flowers. London: Macdonald, 1985. 384p. ISBN 0356105717. 300 species; color photos; arranged alphabetically by genus, so not much use as a field guide but a good source for illustrations. Also published in Spanish by Grijalbo.

Polunin, Oleg. Flowers of Europe: A Field Guide. New York: Oxford University Press, 1969. 662p. $65.00. ISBN 0192176218. 2,800 species; keys; line drawings, some color photos; index of common names in English, French, German, Italian. Large for a field guide; see Concise Flowers of Europe for a more portable version. Illustrated by Barbara Everard.

Stewart John Massey The Nature of Russia, London: Boxtree, in association with Anglia Television, 1992. The best general introduction to the subject, with chapters on tundra, taiga, steppe, the Caucasus, Volga Delta, Kamchatka, and Sikhote-Alin; beautiful photographs. This is a good introduction to the main ecosystems, their natural history, native peoples and environmental problems.

UNEP Report on Biodiversity in Armenia, Armenia boasts an extremely rich variety of both biodiversity and landscapes, reflecting the variety in geology and altitudes found within the country. Thorough report with facts and figures and maps you won;t want to explore the country without.

Armenia Tree Project, The Armenia Tree Project (ATP) was founded in 1994 to advance Armenia's economic and social development by mobilizing resources outside the country to fund reforestation. ATP's goal is to assist the Armenian people in using trees to improve their standard of living and protect the global environment. In these efforts, we are guided by the need to promote self sufficiency, aid those with fewest resources first, and preserve the native ecosystem.
