HANKAVAN VILLAGE HOMES
Old Greek Cuisine
Located on the other side of Tzaghkadzor Mountain, in the Hankavan Valley, you get there by veering right in the Dilijan roundabout (go left up the hill to Dilijan), and continue on about 10 kilometers. The Hankavan Village is on the road.

Greek families remaining from 1828 émigrés to Armenia, cooking very old recipes for , "Siron (a Greek version of Georgian Khinkali and Siberian Pelmeni--We know it by its Italian ravioli version)! Triman! Sitlin! Macarina (home made noodles smothered in a yogurt and garlic sauce)! Dolma (Greek style). Village families cooking in their homes. Visit Village elder Nikolai for where to eat, or strike up conversation with any welcoming soul.. Very informal, you have to offer money ($10 person for full meal is not too little).

IN TOWN:
There are several very good, not so expensive venues in Sevan, serving full meals at $5-10 on average. Cheap eats are sandwiches at 250-1200 AMD.
