Far Center is anything above Monument North and west, then north east above Nork. This is the working class neighborhood, the "other side" of Yerevan, the side most tourists never see, but should. It is not fancy, but it is is cheap, and it is the heart and soul of the city. This area includes the Zoo, Bangladesh (far west on road to airport), Zeitun, and the village of Avan.
Any restaurant, and cafe, any bistro is worth visiting for local life and the cheap eats. Especially visit the cafes and restaurants in the park above monument, the cafe outside of the Youth Cultural Palace, and the venues around Arabkir.
